About the app

Never lose a recommendation again.

MapVault is a free iOS and Android app for saving, organising, and sharing place recommendations on a map. Tag places with emoji, add personal notes, and filter by what you want — so you always find the right spot when it matters. It's the missing layer between “I'll save that” and actually going there.

The commitment

Here's what being a beta tester involves.

We want testers who will genuinely use the app. Here's what we ask:

• Use MapVault for a minimum of 2 weeks
• Test the app on your own iPhone or Android device
• Work through the feature checklist below
• Report any bugs you find (we'll share a reporting channel when you're accepted)
• Fill out a short feedback form we'll send at the end of the 2 weeks

What you'll be testing.

During your 2 weeks, we'd like you to try each of the following features. Tick them off as you go — we'll ask about each one in the feedback form.

• 1. Create an account

  Sign up with email or a social provider

• 2. Search for a place

  Use the search bar to find a real venue

• 3. Save a place

  Add it to your personal map

• 4. Add a tag

  Apply an emoji tag to a saved place

• 5. Write a note

  Add a personal note to a saved place

• 6. Mark as visited

  Toggle the visited status on a place

• 7. Filter by tag

  Use tag filtering to narrow map results

• 8. Filter by visited status

  Filter to see only visited or unvisited places

• 9. Create a shared map

  Create a new map and share it with someone (Premium feature — your free year covers this)

• 10. Invite a collaborator

  Add another user to your shared map

• 11. Get directions

  Tap a saved place and open it in your maps app
